Prioritising a conscious connection with nature to create inspiring spaces.

Since setting up the studio in 2019, Zoë has embraced the mindful approach of biophilic design. The word Biophilia means ‘a love of nature’ and biophilic interior design is the practice of designing with nature closely in mind to create calming spaces that improve wellbeing, health and productivity.

Zoë believes that how a space feels is ultimately more important than how a space looks. She says “The essence of an interior can positively impact your everyday life and support healthy living. The benefits of Biophilic Design far exceed those of traditional interior design”.

By incorporating plants, maximising natural light, utilising natural textures and materials, biophilic interior design, quite simply, makes us happier and healthier by increasing our connection with the natural world.

We design spaces in which you can sit back, take a deep breath and unwind.

Humans have an evolutionary need to be close to nature. Studies have shown that by bringing elements of the natural world into our indoor environments, Biophilic Design can positively impact the physical and mental well-being of the occupants and stimulate productivity in work environments.

Natural daylight, good ventilation, limiting materials to those available naturally, utilising biomorphic forms and patterns and an abundance of greenery, means that the concept of Biophilia goes hand-in-hand with an aesthetically pleasing look whilst simultaneously reconnecting humanity with the natural environment.
